How long does it take to ride from Boulder to Eldora ? Jason Donald (RMCEF) did it the fastest today at 1hr 24 minutes. About a minute off the pace from '03 when the race last went up Magnolia. On the womens side, ex-Olympian and back to work Anne Trombley (Excel Sports) took her third straight win of the Mike Horgan.

At just under 20 miles the course climbs 3,800 verticle feet via Boulder Canyon, Magnolia Rd and the Shelf Rd ending just before the Eldora ski resort. The start of Magnolia dives right into 17% grades and multiple climbing switchbacks before the dirt. Fortunately, the pave gods were on our side as the dirt was rather smooth.

Over 300 racers braved the Colorado sunshine to endure a helacious hammerfest. Light winds kept the temp from cooking the peleton as attrition rates were far below the norm. A total of 36 juniors gave up Saturday morning cartoons to race.
